So on your target plan you have identified potential leads, now you have decided to write a compelling e-mail to qualify those leads and in turn contract your services. There is one problem; you do not know where to start!
Always remember these 3 steps :
- Plan ahead. Yes always focus on the desired outcome of the email. For example, you will like the potential client to schedule a zoom meeting to discuss how your services can assist them.
- Get to writing. In other words be creative and talk out your words. You know what you wish to achieve so put it in writing as if you were talking to the client. Always be sure to excite , delight and communicate the next step.
- Edit. As I have learnt in my managerial experience, never hit ‘send’ without proof reading and the last minute edit. Be sure to use ‘customer friendly language’ and check all spelling and grammar. Trust me, this saves that ‘egg in your face’ feeling.
